After a long and hard battle, Sri Lanka managed to put a 342-run target on the board for Pakistan to chase.
The home side won the toss and opted to bat first and utilize their spinners while defending the target. The strategy made complete sense when you consider that no team has ever chased down a 200+ run target at Galle against the Sri Lankans.

With Babar Azam in a flowing form, it remains to be seen whether the likes of him and the other batters can withstand the Sri Lankan spinners on a turning pitch on Day 4 and Day 5.
There has only been one instance when a 200+ run target was chased at Galle and Sri Lanka they were the one to have chased it against New Zealand back in 2019.
