Canada announce squad for T20 World Cup 2024

Canada's squad for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 has been announced, with all-rounder Saad Bin Zafar appointed as captain.

This marks Canada's debut in the T20 World Cup, and they find themselves in Group A alongside USA, India, Pakistan, and Ireland. Saad, known for his left-arm orthodox spin, brings a wealth of experience to the team.

The squad is predominantly made up of seasoned players, including top-order batsman Aaron Johnson and left-arm seamer Kaleem Sana, with only four players under the age of 30 expected to feature prominently.

Canada's first match in the tournament will be against USA in Dallas on June 1^st.

Former Sri Lankan and Canadian international Pubudu Dassanayake serves as the team's coach, taking charge in 2022.
