"Captaincy door is open for Pandya": Bhogle hints at possible leadership change ahead

Indian all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, is under the spotlight as he faces a critical challenge that could define the future of his leadership in the national team. 

Renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle has revealed that the Indian cricket team management, alongside the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has placed significant trust in Pandya, directing him to participate in all upcoming white-ball games.

Reports have already indicated that Pandya's red-ball career might be over, with the BCCI wanting the star all-rounder to concentrate solely on white-ball cricket. 

Now, Bhogle's recent comments suggest that Pandya has been explicitly asked to play every white-ball match, with his performance and fitness closely monitored.

He emphasized that the BCCI still considers Pandya as a strong candidate for the captaincy of the Indian limited-overs team. 

He stated that the Indian team management is merely testing Suryakumar as a T20 captain.

“Hardik Pandya has been asked to play all white ball games. The captaincy door is open for him; they are just testing Suryakumar Yadav. Hardik has to stay fit and play all white ball games in order to get back,” Bhogle said.

Pandya's future as Team India's captain hinges on his ability to consistently deliver strong performances while maintaining peak fitness in both ODIs and T20Is.
