A three-member inquiry panel recommended that the board "strongly warn the player to refrain from further violations
Sri Lankan bowler Chamika Karunaratne was fined $5,000 and given a one-year suspended ban for his actions during this month's T20 World Cup, the island nation's cricket authority announced on Wednesday.
Sri Lanka Cricket did not elaborate on the 26-year-offenses; the old just stated that he violated "many conditions" in a player agreement in Australia.

A three-member inquiry panel recommended that the board "strongly warn the player to refrain from further violations and to impose a punishment that will not have an impact on his cricketing career," the statement added.
Karunaratne is the second player suspended by Sri Lanka Cricket for a T20 World Cup violation. Danushka Gunathilaka was suspended earlier this month after Australian authorities charged him with four counts of sexual abuse.
