Mohammad Ali’s impressive four-wicket spell, combined with a quickfire half-century from skipper Mohammad Haris, powered Stallions to a convincing six-wicket win over Panthers in the 11th match of the Champions T20 Cup at Rawalpindi Stadium on Sunday.

Batting first, Panthers managed a competitive 168/7 in their 20 overs, thanks to a brilliant knock by Haider Ali. The in-form batter anchored the innings with a superb 73 off 49 balls, laced with 10 boundaries, including five sixes.

However, Panthers had a shaky start as opener Sharjeel Khan departed early for just four runs, leaving the team at 12/1 in the second over. Haider Ali then steadied the ship, forming a 61-run stand with Umar Siddiq (29 off 30) for the second wicket.

Their partnership was broken by Mohammad Ali in the 11th over, as he dismissed Siddiq and then removed Panthers’ captain Shadab Khan on the very next ball for a golden duck. Haider later found support from Mubasir Khan (30 off 19) as the duo added 63 runs for the fourth wicket before both fell in the 18th over.

Mohammad Ali emerged as the standout bowler for Stallions, finishing with figures of 4/28 in his four overs. He was well-supported by Mohammad Amir Khan, who took two wickets.

Chasing 169, Stallions reached the target in the final over to secure their fourth victory in the tournament. Skipper Mohammad Haris led the charge with a blistering 61 off 35 balls, including eight boundaries.

Haris also forged a crucial 64-run partnership for the third wicket with Hussain Talat, who contributed a solid 32 off 25 deliveries. Despite losing both batters in quick succession, veteran Shoaib Malik (21*) and Mohammad Mohsin (15*) ensured a calm finish, putting together an unbeaten 34-run stand to guide Stallions home with two balls to spare.

The win further solidifies Stallions’ strong position in the ongoing Champions T20 Cup.
