Although New Zealand fell short in the Champions Trophy final against India in Dubai on Sunday, two of their players, Rachin Ravindra and Matt Henry, topped the tournament's batting and bowling charts with impressive performances.

Ravindra, the young all-rounder, finished as the tournament's highest run-scorer with 263 runs. His total included a quick 37 off 29 balls in the final. In addition to his batting brilliance, Ravindra also claimed three important wickets, including that of India's captain Rohit Sharma. His all-round contribution earned him the coveted ‘Player of the Tournament’ award.

India’s Shreyas Iyer followed closely behind with 243 runs, surpassing teammate Virat Kohli, who scored 218 runs. Iyer came close to a half-century in the final but was dismissed for 48, while Kohli was out for a mere one run in the final, falling to New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell.

Ben Duckett and Joe Root of England finished third and fourth on the batting charts with 227 and 225 runs, respectively. However, their efforts were not enough to propel England further into the tournament.

On the bowling side, despite being sidelined for the final due to a shoulder injury, Matt Henry led the wicket-taking tally with 10 wickets. Henry sustained the injury during the semifinal against South Africa but had a significant impact earlier in the tournament.

India’s Varun Chakravarthy finished with nine wickets in just three matches, leading India’s bowling attack. Alongside him, Mohammed Shami also claimed nine wickets, doing so in five matches, including a standout five-wicket haul against Bangladesh.

New Zealand's Mitchell Santner took nine wickets while Michael Bracewell took eight wickets, joining Henry and Chakravarthy among the top performers.

While Henry’s 10 wickets topped the list, the record for most wickets in a single Champions Trophy edition remains with Pakistan’s Hasan Ali, who took 13 wickets in 2017, and West Indies’ Jerome Taylor, who also claimed 13 wickets in 2006.

Afghanistan's Ibrahim Zadran scored the highest individual score of the tournament with 177 against England, while Ben Duckett closely followed with 165. Australia's Josh Inglis and England's Joe Root both scored 120 runs each, while New Zealand's Tom Latham scored 118.
