The Eliminator of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) season eight is underway at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.
Khulna Tigers have won the toss and elected to bowl first against Chattogram Challengers. Both teams have to win the game to make it to the playoffs.
Chattogram successfully chased 186 with five balls to spare against Sylhet Sunrisers. Will Jacks played a brilliant knock of 92 of just 57 balls including eight boundaries and four sixes.
Khulna Tigers, on the other hand, flawlessly chased 183 against Comilla Victorians denying the efforts of Faf du Plessis who scored an outstanding 101 of just 54 balls. Khulna won the game by nine wickets and eight balls to spare thanks to the 182 run opening stand between Fletcher and Mehdi Hassan.
Mehdi scored 74 his best knock in the tournament and Fletcher scored an unbeaten 101 of just 62 balls.
The winning team will play Qualifier 2 against the losing team of Qualifier 1 which is scheduled to play today at 4:30 pm between the top two teams of the tournament Fortune Barisal and Comilla Victorians.
Will Jacks, who has been the top scorer for Chattogram with 398 runs in 10 innings with an average of 44.22 and a strike rate of 156, misses out in the Eliminator and is replaced by the hard-hitting Kennar Lewis. Whereas Sikandar Raza replaces Naveen ul Haq for Khulna Tigers.
