Multiple clauses of heavy fines and bans are in the 2022/23 central contracts of men's cricketers, some of which have been objected to by the senior players.

According to details, even the slightest violation of the PCB orders can lead to heavy fines or bans. Seniors have also objected to specific clauses regarding commercial activities. Under the contract, commercial contracts or advertising of entities whose work does not conflict with PCB sponsors without permission can be fined between PKR 2,50,000 to PKR 20,00,000.

If this is done for an organization in conflict with the work of any board sponsor/partners, the fine will be increased from PKR 5,00,000 to 50,00,000. A ban of 1 to 5 matches may also be imposed on such a player.

Violation of dress code in off-field events will be fined between PKR 25,000 to PKR 1,00,000. A fine of PKR 50,000 to PKR 3,00,000 will be imposed for this mistake in training, interviews and presentation events.

Failure to wear board-approved clothing or concealing sponsor logos in international and domestic matches may result in a fine of PKR 1,50,000 and PKR 10,00,000 or a ban of one to five matches.

A fine of PKR 1 to 6 lakhs will be imposed on any unauthorized logo on the cricket kit or any part of the equipment in an international or domestic match.

According to the agreement, non-cooperation or irresponsible behavior of the official sponsor in commercial commitments may be fined up to PKR 10,00,000.

Indulging in unethical activities like match-fixing, gambling or ball-tampering or for inducing others, a fine of PKR 2,00,000 to 20,00,000 or a ban of one to five matches will be imposed.

Disobeying the decisions of the umpires or showing bad behavior, threatening match officials, players or spectators, raising hands or attempting to do so will be fined between PKR 5,00,000 to 50,00,000 or ban from 3 to 8 matches.

During the match, a fine of PKR 5,00,000 to 50,00,000 will be imposed on any player, match official, PCB official or fan during the match for bad language or gestures while the ban period is from one to five games. 

Use of illegal drugs, distribution or taking unapproved medicine, supplements etc. from the medical expert of the board will face a fine of PKR 7,50,000 to PKR 50,00,000 or ban for three to eight matches.

The range of fine for refusing to take dope or fitness test or disobeying any other order of PCB is PKR 1,50,000 to 10,00,000.

Participation in cricket matches without the permission of the board will result in a fine of PKR 5,00,000 to 50,00,000 or a ban of one to five years. A fine of PKR 50,000 to 20,00,000 will be imposed for using a mobile phone in the dressing room or any other prohibited place during the match.

Non-participation in any official or other function even at the behest of the board may attract a fine of PKR 1,00,000 to 5,00,000 on the player.

Contracts for English counties, foreign leagues, and championships without the permission of the board will attract a fine of PKR 5,00,000 to 50,00,000 or a ban of 1 to 5 years.

Penalties for non-observance of events or violation of late night curfew range from PKR 2,00,000 to 10,00,000.

Non-participation in a practice session, training camp or any education session or meeting organized by the PCB will attract a fine of PKR 2,50,000 to 10,00,000.

A fine of PKR 25,000 to 5,00,000 or a ban of one to seven matches will be imposed for behavior contrary to the spirit of cricket.

Misbehavior with the board, match or any other official is punishable by a fine of PKR 50,000 to 50,00,000 or a ban of one to seven matches. Non-signing of rules or contracts by players in ICC events will result in a fine of PKR 2,00,000 to 10,00,000 or a ban of one to seven matches.

Withdrawing from any domestic or international tournament, series, match or threatening to do so to the PCB, or non-participation even as directed by the board, indicating retirement or unavailability from any form of cricket in print or electronic media; he will face a fine of PKR 5,00,000 5 to 50,00,000 or a ban of three to six matches.

Violation of PCB travel policy can attract a fine of PKR 2,50,000 to 10,00,000. Failure to comply with any order or instruction from the board will result in a fine of PKR 5,00,000 to 50,00,000 or a ban of three to six matches.

Non-participation in a domestic first-class match despite not being on international duty may attract a fine of PKR 2,50,000 per match or a further one-match ban.

There is a fine of PKR 1,00,000 to 10,00,000 for not following the fitness routine prescribed by the board, not following the advice of the board doctor, trainer or physiotherapist, not informing the medical team of any injury

A fine of PKR 50,000 to PKR 10,00,000 is to be paid for failure in medical screening or test due to non-observance of fitness routine. The penalty for not following the instructions of the board regarding food is PKR 25,000 to 1,00,000. Failure to follow the injury treatment and rehab plan will result in a fine of PKR 50,000 to 10,000,00. 

The penalty for consultation and practice of a non-PCB-approved doctor is PKR 5,00,000 to 50,00,000. In case of making statements in public without taking permission from the board, one has to face a fine of PKR 5,00,000 to 50,00,000 or a ban of one to five matches.
