Pakistan’s middle-order batsman Danish Aziz is hoping for a memorable debut during the first One-day International (ODI) against South Africa, in Centurion, on Friday.

Aziz got his debut cap from former Pakistan captain and wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed before the toss — which the Men in Green’s skipper Babar Azam won and decided to bowl first.

“Obviously, I’m very excited because, since my childhood day, my aim was to play for Pakistan and today is that day,” said Aziz in a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s media department.

“I want to express myself and perform to the best of my ability. I will try to give my 100 per cent and ensure that Pakistan win this match,” he added.
