Pakistan chose to include Sarfaraz Ahmed, the experienced wicketkeeper-batsman, in the playing XI over Mohammad Rizwan in the ongoing Perth Test against Australia.
Sarfaraz managed two catches but missed a stumping opportunity for David Warner at 141, as Australia scored 346-5 on day one.
Rizwan seized the chance for a keeping session, leading to discussions among Pakistan cricket fans about his exclusion.
Former Australia coach Darren Lehmann also questioned Rizwan's absence, commenting on a post by journalist Bharat Sundaresan on X (formerly Twitter).
"Why is he not?" Lehmann inquired.
Why is he not 🤷♂️
