The 23-year-old will join the squad after his return from Australia following the New Year's Test in Sydney, as the season kicks off on January 13th, 2024.

With this development, Afridi is set to bolster the Desert Vipers' bowling attack, which already boasts notable talents like Wanindu Hasaranga, Matheesha Pathirana, Tom Curran, and Sheldon Cottrell. His inclusion is anticipated to bring an extra edge to the team's performance and strategy.

Currently, Shaheen Afridi is actively engaged in representing Welsh Fire in the ongoing The Hundred Men's competition 2023.
