A security team from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) visited the National Bank Stadium on Thursday to evaluate the arrangements for England’s upcoming tour of Pakistan later this year.

During their visit, the security team inspected various sections of the stadium, closely examining the security measures both within the venue and its surrounding areas. They also assessed the ongoing construction work at the stadium, with officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) providing updates on the progress.

England’s tour of Pakistan includes a three-match Test series in October. The series will start with the first Test in Multan from October 7-11. The second Test will take place in Karachi from October 15-19, followed by the final Test in Rawalpindi from October 24-28.

This series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 and marks the second time in less than two years that England’s men’s team will play a Test series in Pakistan. England previously won a 3-0 series in December 2022.

The upcoming series against England is just one part of a busy home international season for Pakistan’s men’s cricket team in 2024-25. Pakistan will also host Bangladesh for a two-match Test series in August, followed by a three-match series against the West Indies in January. Additionally, they are scheduled to play two away Tests against South Africa in December and January.

All nine Tests against Bangladesh, England, South Africa, and the West Indies are part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.
