Perry moved up six places to reach joint-16th position in the batting rankings, now holding a career-best 597 rating points
Australia’s star all-rounder Ellyse Perry has made significant gains in the ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings following her consistent performances in the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the UAE.
Perry moved up six places to reach joint-16th position in the batting rankings, now holding a career-best 597 rating points. This improvement comes after she scored 30 against Pakistan, 22* against New Zealand, and 32 against India, helping Australia top Group A and reach the semifinals. Perry’s highest career ranking in T20I batting is 14th, a position she last held in February 2020.
Her teammate, Phoebe Litchfield, also achieved a career-best 30th position after scoring a quick 15* against India, contributing to Australia’s nine-run win over the defending champions.
Other notable movements in the batting rankings include Australia captain Alyssa Healy rising to seventh, India’s Harmanpreet Kaur moving up to 11th, and Bangladesh’s Nigar Sultana climbing to 13th.
In the bowling rankings, England’s left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone solidified her top spot with a strong performance against Scotland, taking 2 for 13. Several bowlers have made significant gains, including Australia’s Annabel Sutherland, who reached a career-high 11th position, and India’s Deepti Sharma and Renuka Thakur, who have both risen to joint-third.
