England announce squad for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024

England have selected their squad for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup, highlighting strong performances from the recent domestic competitions.

Led by captain Heather Knight, the inaugural champions announced their 15-player lineup for the October tournament.

The squad reflects England's confidence in players who excelled in the recent Hundred competition, including spinner Linsey Smith, pacer Lauren Bell, all-rounder Dani Gibson, and wicketkeeper-batter Bess Heath.

Despite scoring 164 runs in The Hundred, experienced opener Tammy Beaumont was left out, alongside notable absences like seamer Kate Cross and young quick Lauren Filer.

In Group B of this year's T20 World Cup, England will face Bangladesh, Scotland, South Africa, and the West Indies.
