England’s fast bowler of Pakistani origin, Saqib Mahmood, has finally been granted a visa to travel to India.

India issued the visa to Saqib Mahmood after a delay, which prevented him from participating in the initial training camp.

This isn’t the first instance of such delays. Previously, England spinner Shoaib Bashir, also of Pakistani origin, faced a similar issue when his visa was issued late. As a result, Shoaib Bashir missed the first Test match last year.

The five-match T20I series between India and England is set to commence on January 22 at Eden Gardens.
