England have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against the West Indies after a four-wicket victory in the second game. A strong all-round batting performance, led by former captain Jos Buttler and supported by skipper Harry Brook, Jacob Bethell, and Tom Banton, helped England chase down a target of 197 with nine balls to spare.

The run-chase began positively with Buttler and Ben Duckett attacking in the PowerPlay, guiding England to 58/1 after six overs. Duckett fell in the eighth over, but Buttler and Brook kept the innings steady, reaching 87/2 at the halfway mark.

West Indies briefly pulled things back with tight bowling from Gudakesh Motie and wickets from Akeal Hosein and Roston Chase. However, England’s middle order responded confidently. Brook accelerated with a 20-run over off Romario Shepherd, while Bethell and Banton’s aggressive hitting took the game away from the hosts. Banton's 10-ball 26, including three sixes off Alzarri Joseph, proved decisive.

Brydon Carse sealed the win with a boundary in the 19th over.

Earlier, West Indies posted a competitive total of 196/6. Shai Hope (49) and Johnson Charles (47) steadied the innings after Luke Wood dismissed Evin Lewis with the first ball. A late assault by Holder and Shepherd, including five sixes in one over off Adil Rashid, lifted the total, but England’s chase was too strong to contain.

With this win, England have secured the series and will look to complete a clean sweep in the third and final T20I.
