The cricket series between England and New Zealand has been named the *Crowe-Thorpe Trophy*, honoring the late cricketers Martin Crowe of New Zealand and Graham Thorpe of England.

The trophy has been crafted using wood from bats once owned by the two iconic players. Families of both Crowe and Thorpe donated the bats for this purpose. Notably, the trophy incorporates the bats with which Thorpe scored a century against New Zealand and Crowe achieved a century against England.

From now on, every series between these two teams will be played for this trophy. The decision underscores the respect and admiration both nations have for these legendary players, considered among the finest batters of their time.

Martin Crowe, renowned for his elegant batting, passed away in 2016, while Graham Thorpe, known for his resilience at the crease, passed away earlier this year. This tribute ensures their legacy continues to inspire future generations.
