England has included Jordan Cox and Rehan Ahmed in their white-ball squads for the upcoming tour of the Caribbean, starting next Thursday. Both players are currently with the England Test team in Pakistan. However, Cox is scheduled to fly home after the first day of the series-deciding Test in Rawalpindi.

Rehan Ahmed, who has been named in England's XI for the third Test, will join the Caribbean tour later and is unlikely to play in the first ODI against the West Indies on Thursday.

Cox, a wicketkeeper-batter from Essex, is expected to make his Test debut on England's upcoming tour of New Zealand, which closely follows the Caribbean trip. He might miss the T20I series in the West Indies, but he will arrive in New Zealand in time for a warm-up match in Queenstown before the first Test on November 27.

Cox made his international debut in a T20I series against Australia last month and is likely to earn his first ODI cap in the Caribbean. This is particularly important as Jos Buttler will miss the 50-over matches due to a recent setback with a calf injury. Cox will also step in as England's keeper during the New Zealand series, as Jamie Smith is on paternity leave.

Rehan's participation in the third Test against Pakistan may prevent him from playing in the first ODI, and he could be considered for the T20Is instead. He is one of three wrist spinners in England's squads, alongside Adil Rashid and uncapped Yorkshire leg-spinner Jafer Chohan.

When the England squads were announced, it was mentioned that they always planned to include Cox and Rehan for the Caribbean tour. Liam Livingstone will captain the ODI team in the Caribbean while Buttler is unavailable. Essex's Michael Pepper has also been added as cover.

The West Indies are currently down 2-0 in an ODI series against Sri Lanka and have yet to announce their squad for the series against England. The first ODI is set to take place in Antigua on November 31, with the tour concluding with the fifth T20I in St. Lucia on November 17.

England ODI and T20I squads: Jos Buttler (captain, T20Is only), Rehan Ahmed, Jofra Archer, Jacob Bethell, Jafer Chohan, Jordan Cox, Sam Curran, Will Jacks, Liam Livingstone (ODI captain), Saqib Mahmood, Dan Mousley, Jamie Overton, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Reece Topley, John Turner.
