England women's team beat Pakistan in third T20I to complete series sweep

Pakistan's women cricket team lost the third and final T20I against England by 34 runs, concluding the three-match series without a victory on Sunday.

Chasing a target of 177, Pakistan began cautiously with Gul Feroza and Sidra Amin scoring 30 off 29 balls and 26 off 29 balls, respectively. However, their progress was halted when Amin was dismissed by Sophie Ecclestone, followed by Feroza's wicket to Charlie Dean in the subsequent over.

As the batting order faltered, Nida Dar and Aliya Riaz attempted to salvage the innings. Dar scored 29 runs off 24 balls, hitting three fours and one six, while Riaz contributed 35 runs off 27 balls with four fours. Despite their efforts, the rest of the lineup struggled, leading to Pakistan's eventual collapse.

England's bowlers shared the wickets, with Dean, Ecclestone, Lauren Filer, and Danielle Gibson each taking one.

Earlier, England set a total of 176 runs, losing all 10 wickets in the process. The standout performance came from Danni Wyatt, who scored a blistering 87 runs off 48 balls, including 14 fours and a six.

For Pakistan, skipper Nida Dar and pacer Diana Baig each took three wickets, while emerging pacer Fatima Sana claimed one.

The defeat marks a continuation of Pakistan's struggles, following a 53-run loss in the first T20I and a 65-run defeat in the second T20I. This series loss adds to their recent setbacks against the West Indies at home, where they lost the T20I series 4-1 and the ODI series 3-0.

Despite the series loss, Nida Dar achieved a significant milestone by becoming the leading wicket-taker in T20I cricket. She reached this feat by dismissing Alice Capsey and Amy Jones in the second T20I, and now has 140 wickets in the format following the third match.

Both the teams will now shift their focus to the upcoming ODI series, which begins on May 23.
