England's limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan has praised Quetta Gladiators' Will Smeed and Lahore Qalandars' Harry Brook for their "two fine innings" in the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Will Smeed, in his PSL debut, scored a phenomenal 97-run inning and later fell one run short of a fantastic ton; both of his impressive knocks came against Peshawar Zalmi and were in a losing cause.

On the other hand, former England U19 captain Harry Brook remained unbeaten on 102 as he popped up with a 48-ball century against Lahore Qalandars.

Despite Brook's efforts, Islamabad United fell short of the 197-target by 66 runs.

Praising the performances of both youngsters, Morgan posted on his Instagram which read: "Two bright innings from a couple of bright youngsters in the HBL PSL."
