Former Pakistan cricket team captain Mohammad Hafeez has expressed his views on India’s participation in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan, calling it a "daydream" to expect India to visit Pakistan for the tournament.

On social media's platform X (formerly Twitter), Hafeez highlighted that Pakistan is a safe country and fully prepared to host the event. He emphasized that Pakistan has been successfully hosting teams from around the world, showcasing its capability as a host nation.

Hafeez also expressed anticipation for a strong and decisive response from both the Pakistani government and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding India’s stance.

This reaction follows the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) verbal communication to the International Cricket Council (ICC) that India will not travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. The ICC, in turn, formally notified Pakistan of India’s decision.

The ICC Champions Trophy is scheduled to be held in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9, 2025, with eight teams set to participate in the tournament.
