Netherlands cricketer Vikramjt Singh, who has an Indian origin, has come under fire from across the border after he allegedly tweeted and praised Pakistan players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
Singh, who has been a reliable part of the Dutch squad, shared his experience of meeting two in-form Pakistan batters and commented on their down-to-earth nature.
However, the tweet came from a fake account of the player and it has caused a lot of controversy on social media.
"After match, I met Babar Azam and request him to guide me about cricket. Believe me, he and Rizwan spoke to me with such good manners and explained to me as if they were my brothers," the fake account of the cricketer wrote on Twitter.
After the match I met Babar Azam and request him to guide me about cricket. Believe me, he and Rizwan spoke to me with such good manners and explained to me as if they were my brothers. ❤️🥰
