Lahore Qalandars opening batter Fakhar Zaman has broken yet another record after becoming the best Powerplay batter in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) history.

Zaman, who has found his form in HBL PSL 7, has become the first batsman in the tournament's history to score 35 or more runs in six consecutive innings.

The record was previously held by Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan who managed to score 35 or more runs in five successive innings last season.

Zaman recently became the best batter in HBL PSL Powerplays as he ranked first when it came to the highest strike rate in the first six overs (min 500 runs).

It is worth mentioning that Sultans' opener Shan Masood can equal Fakhar's record if he scores 35 or more runs tonight against Lahore Qalandars.

The opener has managed the following scores so far in the HBL PSL 7:

  • 76 vs. Multan Sultans
  • 106 vs. Karachi Kings
  • 66 vs. Peshawar Zalmi
  • 38 vs. Islamabad United
  • 70 vs. Quetta Gladiators
  • 50* vs. Multan Sultans (match in progress)
