Fakhar Zaman satisfied with bench strength of Lahore Qalandars

Pakistan hard-hitting batter Fakhar Zaman has expressed his satisfaction with the depth of talent on Lahore Qalandars' roster for the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) edition.

 In an interview with a local news channel, Fakhar Zaman, who was the leading run-scorer in the previous HBL PSL season with 588 runs at an average of 45.23 and a strike rate of 152.72, stated that he is looking forward to the start of the tournament and hoping to replicate his performances from the previous year.

“They have assembled a very good team this year. In the past four or five seasons, we didn’t have adequate bench strength, but that is not the case this year," said Fakhar.

"This time, we have the players on our bench who are as good as those playing on the field. This is a really good sign for us,” he further added. 

The 32-year-old batter is very excited for the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) and aims to defend the title.

“Cricket fans in Pakistan eagerly wait for PSL every year. I’m also excited for PSL, and we will try to defend our title this season,” he said.

“As a batter, my aim once again would be to become the best batter in the event while also helping Lahore Qalandars win with my performance,” he added.

 It is to be noted that the eighth edition of the HBL PSL is set to take place from February 13 to March 19, 2023, with games being held in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi.
