Pakistan won their first match of the T20 World Cup 2022 after defeating the Netherlands by six wickets at the Optus Stadium.

The Netherlands, after winning the toss, decided to bat first. The Netherlands struggled as the Pakistan pacers were on the verge of winning this game for their hopes of qualifying for the Semi-finals.

Pakistan's bowling attack did not let the Netherlands batters score many runs, as they were restricted to 91-9 in their 20 overs.

Shadab Khan was the stand-out bowler, taking three wickets, and Mohammad Wasim Jr. took two main wickets in his spell.

At first, it was easy for Pakistan to chase this target as Mohammad Rizwan furiously started the second innings. Pakistan captain Babar Azam once again failed to score runs to secure victory.

Pakistan gave away four wickets; it looked like this chase was quite difficult for the batters to chase down in ten overs.

Although Pakistan won the match, fans are pretty unhappy with their performance as they wanted this target to be chased down quickly to improve their net run rate.
