Preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy are ongoing at National Stadium Karachi, but the final completion of the stadium cannot be confirmed yet. Project Manager Bilal Chauhan shared this update during a media briefing, stating that construction work at the stadium is now 100% complete. The finishing touches are expected to be completed by January 31.

According to Bilal Chauhan, the construction work at the National Stadium is fully finished, and the finishing work is currently underway in the newly constructed building. On the ground floor, rooms for ICC’s Anti-Corruption, Anti-Doping, and match officials have been completed. The dressing rooms on the first floor are nearing their final stages of preparation. On the third and fourth floors, 24 hospitality boxes equipped with modern facilities are almost complete. However, the work on the chairman's boxes and the administration block on the fourth floor is still ongoing.

Two modern lifts have been installed in the building, and an external lift will be installed in the next few days. The VIP enclosures on the ground floor are near completion, and a gallery for important personalities will also be ready soon. Construction work in the VIP enclosures named after Majid Khan and Zaheer Abbas is still underway.

The LED lights, which were expected to be cleared from the port by Wednesday, have been installed in the stadium, and the process is nearly complete. The installation of all six LED lights is also expected to be finalized in the coming days. Both digital screens for the stadium have already arrived in Dubai and will be installed under the supervision of American experts. The large 80 by 30-foot screen will be placed in front of the Wasim Akram Enclosure, while a 20 by 30-foot screen will be installed in front of the Intikhab Alam Enclosure.

The stadium's decoration and furnishing work is still in progress, and the furniture will be delivered by Wednesday. Effective parking arrangements for spectators attending the matches are also being made. The Sindh government has directed Karachi’s Municipal Corporation to extend special cooperation in relation to the stadium's preparations.

This ongoing work aims to ensure that National Stadium Karachi is fully ready for the ICC Champions Trophy, offering a world-class experience for both players and spectators.
