PAKvENG: Flood affected families staying in Karachi to get free entry

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has allowed free entry into the stadium for the flood-hit families currently under temporary shelter in Karachi for the upcoming series against England.

DIG SSU Maqsood Memon confirmed this development as PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja and high-ups wanted to bring happiness to the flood-hit families.

"We talked to PCB chairman Ramiz Raja and Zakir Khan to allow flood-hit families free entry in the stadium during matches," he shared. "Our brothers and sisters are suffering from tough times. Free entry to the stadium will help bring smiles back on their faces."

IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho accompanied Memon as the security and arrangement check was conducted at the National Stadium Karachi.

Odho stated that the England cricket team, which is already in Pakistan, remains fully satisfied with the arrangements and preparations for the event.

"We provided fool-proof security to England team as promised. We talked to England team management and they are pretty satisfied with the arrangements," he stated.

He remained hopeful that the series will receive an overwhelming response for the upcoming 7-match T20I series.

"Karachi has often proved its liveliness when it comes to cricket. I am sure the people of Karachi will come to fill the stadium during matches against England," he concluded.
