West Indies captain Hayley Matthews, who played against Scotland, fell victim to dehydration due to the soaring temperatures. Despite the challenging weather conditions, Matthews managed to score 114 runs off 113 balls in her match.
In the opening match of the tournament, Pakistan defeated Ireland by 38 runs, while Scotland overcame the West Indies by 11 runs.
