The Pakistan cricket team surprised Australian cricketers with Christmas gifts, a gesture appreciated by many. However, former Australian spinner Kerry O’Keefe expressed surprise, questioning if past cricketing legends like Sourav Ganguly would have done the same.

The PCB shared a video of the entire Pakistani team presenting gifts and sweets, showcasing a positive interaction.

O’Keefe's remark suggests a belief that a competitive and spirited approach is needed to succeed in Australia's challenging cricket conditions. He emphasized the need for a "feisty" attitude against the Aussies, contrasting it with the perceived pleasantness of the ongoing Test series

“This Test series is being played in the best of spirits? You’re not going to beat Australia in the best of spirits. Christmas Presents yesterday. Would Sourav Ganguly have arrived with Christmas presents for Steve Waugh? No,” Keefe said.

“You’ve got to play feisty against the Aussies. You have to have some spite. This is too pleasant. And then opening the Boxing Day with a half-volley,” he added.

Former Pakistan cricketer, Bazid Khan, also questioned if Pakistan players were being too friendly with the opposition.

“Has Pakistan become the most friendly team in the world? All smiles with the opposition,” Bazid Khan wrote on ‘X’.
