Former Australian Test cricketer Stuart MacGill has been found guilty in a drug-related case, according to Australian media reports.

MacGill was convicted of facilitating a cocaine deal, with the court ruling that he was involved in arranging transactions between his brother-in-law and a street-level drug dealer.

The verdict was delivered by the New South Wales District Court after an eight-day trial. The jury rejected MacGill’s defense, in which he claimed he had merely introduced two individuals without being directly involved in the deal.

The case dates back to 2021, but the court did not find MacGill guilty of engaging in large-scale drug trafficking. However, he admitted to regularly purchasing half a gram of cocaine for $200.

According to Australian media, MacGill is set to face sentencing later this year.
