In response to Pakistan's elimination from the T20 World Cup, Bangladesh's star opener, Tamim Iqbal, has expressed his disappointment and called for senior leadership akin to Shahid Afridi's guidance for Babar Azam and the team.

Iqbal shared his sentiments on the social media platform 'X,' stating, "Feel sad to see Pakistan get eliminated from T20 WC. Hope they come well next time and have seniors like Shahid Afridi to show the way."

Rain played spoilsport at Lauderhill in Florida, where the USA and Ireland's match was abandoned due to a waterlogged outfield.

As a result, both teams were awarded one point each, securing USA's spot in the Super Eight stage alongside India, marking a historic achievement for the USA in their debut World Cup appearance.

The persistent wet conditions led to multiple inspections before officials confirmed the match abandonment. This outcome finalized the qualification scenarios in Group A, with Ireland's hopes dashed and Pakistan exiting the tournament at the group stage.
