Former England cricket team captain Michael Vaughan has raised his voice in favor of four-day Test cricket.

Vaughan stated that reducing the length of Test matches by one day would make scheduling easier and that changing the format from five to four days is the need of the hour.

He mentioned that modern cricketers are providing a lot of entertainment, with players now turning cricket into a brand and striving to win as quickly as possible.

The former captain proposed that starting a match on Thursday and concluding it by Sunday would make it more convenient for everyone to understand, with a four-day match.

Vaughan further remarked that cricket is no longer played the same way it was during the 80s and 90s, urging everyone to seriously consider the idea of four-day Test matches.

It is important to note that of the last 50 Test matches, only three ended in a draw, and those three matches were heavily affected by rain. Additionally, two-thirds of the Test matches finished on the fourth day.
