Former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad has expressed his outrage and hoped for rain during the highly anticipated Indo-Pak Super 4 clash in Colombo on Sunday.
Prasad, took to his social media platform 'X' (formerly known as Twitter) and in a strongly-worded post voiced his concerns about the tournament's format and what he perceives as biased rules.
'If true this is absolute shamelessness this. The organisers have made a mockery and it is unethical to have a tournament with rules being different for the other two teams. In the name of justice, will only be fair if it is abandoned the first day, may it rain harder on the second day and these malicious plans not succeed," Prasad said on 'X'

Prasad's comments suggested an imbalance in the competition and came in when a reserve day was incorporated for the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4’s match between Pakistan and India. The match is scheduled to take place at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium on 10th September, 2023.
