Former Pakistan all-rounder Billy Ibadulla passed away on Friday at the age of 88.

He played in four Test matches between 1964 and 1967, becoming the first Pakistani batsman to score a century on his Test debut.

Ibadulla made his debut against Australia in Karachi in 1964, scoring an impressive 166 runs in the first innings.

Ibadulla was more successful in first-class cricket, where he amassed 17,078 runs at an average of 27.28 and took 462 wickets at 30.96. Out of his 417 first-class matches, 377 were for Warwickshire, where he played for over a decade.

In List A cricket, Ibadulla scored 829 runs and claimed 84 wickets in 64 matches.

Furthermore, he served as an umpire in 20 first-class matches and 12 List A games and ran a private coaching clinic in New Zealand.
