The ongoing Pakistan, South Africa Test was live-streamed on a betting website
Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Khalid Mahmood was left disappointed after the ongoing Pakistan, South Africa first Test, in Karachi, was live-streamed on a betting website.
During the match, bets were placed on the match through PCB’s live-stream on sky247.com. The board’s logo was also visible on the left side of the video.
Sky247.net, which is one of the co-sponsors for the two-match Test series, is also part of the same company which owns sky247.com.
“This is seriously disappointing because PCB made the same mistake during PSL 5 as well. We should take this matter seriously as our religious and cultural values, along with the constitution, does not allow this,” said Mahmood.
“PCB’s patron-in-chief and Prime Minister Imran Khan should take notice and proper investigation should be carried out in this regard,” he added.
It must be noted that PCB has started its investigation into live-streaming case and legal action will be taken against those violating the contract.
