Former South African cricketer Chris Morris has predicted his semi-finalist teams for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, set to be co-hosted by the United States and West Indies.

In an interview with Star Sports, the former all-rounder picked India, South Africa, Pakistan, and Australia as his top four teams for the mega event.

The 37-year-old emphasized that India is a strong candidate due to their players' excellent form following the IPL. He expressed confidence in South Africa's chances of winning. He also highlighted Pakistan's reputation as a formidable team in major tournaments.

“India have to be there as Indian players are in good form as they are coming from a big event like IPL. South Africa has the best chance to win the tournament this year as they have right combination of players. You can never count out Pakistan as they are a big tournament team. Australia would be my fourth pick as they are playing dangerous cricket in IPL,” Morris said.

The tournament kicks off on June 1, with the USA, one of the hosts, playing against Canada.

Teams will be divided into four groups, with the top two from each group progressing to the Super Eight stage. The Super Eight will then be divided into two groups, and the leading two teams from each will advance to the semi-finals.
