A unique record in the world of cricket as 99% of the work at Gaddafi Stadium completed in just 110 days.
The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, visited Gaddafi Stadium early today to check on the ongoing renovation work. He inspected various floors and hospitality boxes, making sure the finishing work was up to standard.
Mr. Naqvi also checked the quality of the railings placed in front of the boxes and looked at the view of the ground from the seating areas outside. He stressed the need for the finishing work to be done quickly but with the highest quality.
"The finishing work should be completed fast, but quality must be maintained at all costs," Mr. Naqvi said.
He added that the stadium is almost ready, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif set to officially open it on February 7.
Once the renovations are complete, fans attending the Champions Trophy matches will be able to enjoy the new facilities at the stadium.
The PCB's Chief Operating Officer, Sameer Ahmed, also updated Mr. Naqvi on the progress of the work.
