The renovation of Lahore’s iconic Gaddafi Stadium has entered its final phase as preparations ramp up for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled from February 19 to March 9.

A key upgrade to the venue includes the installation of new LED floodlights across all six towers. The lights are currently undergoing testing to ensure optimal performance ahead of the tournament. The upgrades are expected to be completed by January 30.

Gaddafi Stadium will host four matches during the Champions Trophy, including the second semi-final on March 5. Additionally, the venue may host the final on March 9 if India does not qualify.

The eight-team tournament, consisting of 15 matches, will take place across four venues: Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi in Pakistan, and Dubai. The teams are divided into two groups. Group A features Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B includes Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia.

Hosts Pakistan will play the opening match against New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi. The much-anticipated clash between arch-rivals Pakistan and India is set for February 23 in Dubai.
