The head coach of Pakistan’s white ball cricket team, Gary Kirsten, is set to arrive in Pakistan on September 12.

According to sources, Kirsten will attend the Champions One Day Cup matches in Faisalabad as part of his visit.

In addition to observing the matches, Kirsten is expected to hold consultations with the mentors of the five participating teams. This interaction will play a crucial role in assessing talent and planning for future assignments.

Kirsten had returned to South Africa in July after submitting a comprehensive report on Pakistan’s performance in the T20 World Cup and meeting with the think tank to discuss strategies.

Meanwhile, Jason Gillespie, the head coach of Pakistan’s red ball cricket team, is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on September 22. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has organized a “Connection Camp” on September 23, aimed at shaping the future roadmap for Pakistan cricket.

Sources have clarified that the agenda of the camp does not include discussions about team captains or international assignments. Instead, the camp is designed for strategic discussions and planning for the future.

Following the arrival of both Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie, and after consultations with selectors and team mentors, a decision on potential changes in team captaincy will be made.
