Gambhir also added a touch of humor by calling himself the "Angry Young Man"
Former Indian opener and current head coach, Gautam Gambhir, recently took part in a fun activity where he assigned movie-inspired nicknames to some of India's top cricket stars. The lighthearted game was part of the recently concluded Delhi Premier League, and Gambhir didn’t hold back on creativity.
In his picks, Gambhir gave star batter Virat Kohli the title "Shahenshah" (King of Kings). Other interesting nicknames included Sachin Tendulkar, who was labeled "Dabang" (Fearless), Jasprit Bumrah, nicknamed "Khiladi" (Player), and Yuvraj Singh, who was called "Badshah" (King).
Gambhir also added a touch of humor by calling himself the "Angry Young Man." Highlighting Bumrah’s importance to the team, he stated, "'Khiladi' is more important than all these." He also named Rahul Dravid as "Mr. Perfectionist," Sourav Ganguly as "Tiger," and gave the recently retired Shikhar Dhawan the nickname "Gabbar."
It is worth noting that India's next cricket challenge will be a two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which will also mark Gambhir's debut as India's head coach in Test cricket.
