Gibbs predicts Pakistan's fate in 2023 World Cup

Former South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs tagged Pakistan as one of the favorites for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. He said that Pakistan will reach the top four due to favourable conditions.

While talking to a local news channel, Gibbs stated that Pakistan could be inconsistent at times, but they are significantly dangerous.

"There is always an X factor in the Pakistan team, which makes them dangerous," Gibbs said.

Calling Babar Azam one of the "best batters," Gibbs also appreciated consistency and demeanor on the field.

"He knows how to score runs. He also has a hunger to score runs. No matter how many runs he scores, he is not satisfied," Gibbs said, adding that the skipper knew how to improve his strike rate," he further added.

The ODI World Cup is scheduled to begin in India on October 5th, featuring ten teams.
