Afghanistan's Gulbadin Naib has spoken about Mohammad Amir’s reaction after dismissing him in the ILT20 2025 final, emphasizing the importance of respect in cricket.
The moment occurred during the high-stakes clash between Dubai Capitals and Desert Vipers, when Amir, bowling his second over, trapped Naib LBW for just 5 runs. After taking the wicket, Amir imitated Naib’s signature celebration, a move that caught the attention of fans and cricket pundits alike.
Reacting to the incident, Naib said, "I always say it is a gentleman's game. You should respect each other. If you don't show respect, no one will respect you either. He knows how much respect he got by doing this act. As a cricketer, as a human being, you should respect everyone."
