Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez has expressed his views on the current expectations placed on Shadab Khan, suggesting that the all-rounder should not be pressured to deliver four overs in every T20 match.

Speaking on a local news channel, Hafeez highlighted the undue pressure Shadab faces as a bowler. He believes that easing this burden could enhance Shadab's overall performance and contribution to the team.

"The pressure we're putting on Shadab is to make him bowl four overs. I don't think Shadab is currently in the mental state to be an international-level bowler for four overs," Hafeez said.

Hafeez also emphasized that Shadab's strength lies in his versatility and that he remains a valuable asset to the team in multiple roles.

"He's a very good package for T20 cricket. As a batsman, he should bat at number 5 or number 6 and play the best role for Pakistan cricket. As a fielder, he's absolutely fantastic," he further added.

Furthermore, Hafeez suggested a more flexible approach to Shadab's bowling duties, allowing him to bowl fewer overs when necessary.

Regarding his bowling, if he bowls two or three overs and is doing very well, then he can bowl four overs. But if we waive off the pressure of making him bowl four overs in every match, I think we can utilize Shadab very well," he concluded.
