Mohammad Hafeez and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have decided to part ways, marking the end of their association. 

Hafeez, who assumed the role of Director Cricket in November of the previous year, has contributed significantly to the Pakistan men's cricket team.

In an official statement, the PCB expressed sincere appreciation for Hafeez's invaluable contributions, acknowledging his role as Director and his positive impact on players.

“The Pakistan Cricket Board extends heartfelt gratitude to Mohammad Hafeez, Director Pakistan men’s cricket team, for his invaluable contributions,” the statement read.

Despite the separation, the PCB conveyed its best wishes to Hafeez for his future endeavors, expressing hopes for continued success and luck in his pursuits.

“Hafeez's passion for the game has inspired players and his mentorship during the tour of Australia and New Zealand have been of immense importance. The PCB wishes Hafeez good luck and success in his future endeavours,” the statement added.

Hafeez, a former Test captain, boasts an impressive cricket career, having represented Pakistan in 55 Tests, 218 ODIs, and 119 T20Is. Throughout his international career, Hafeez has amassed 12,780 runs and secured 253 wickets, leaving a lasting impact on the cricketing landscape. 

Under Hafeez's tenure as director, Pakistan suffered a 3-0 defeat in the recent Test tour to Australia, and additionally, they faced a 4-1 loss in the five-match T20 series in New Zealand.
