Former captain Mohammad Hafeez seems to be unhappy with the approach of the Pakistan batsmen on Day Two of the first Test against Australia in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan started the day on 245/1 and scored only 57 runs in the first session. They added 92 in the second while 82 in the final.

185 from Azhar Ali and 157 from Imam-ul-Haq helped Pakistan score a commanding 476 for four before declaring their first innings on the second day of the opening Test against Australia in Rawalpindi on Saturday.

Australia were five for no loss in reply when bad light forced early stumps, with their Islamabad-born opener Usman Khawaja on five and David Warner yet to score at the other end.

Hafeez, who has recently retired from international cricket, criticized the intent of Pakistan batsmen and wanted them to play a bit more aggressively on the slow and dead surface of Pindi Cricket Stadium.

He thinks that the intent has faded out the chances of producing results in the first Test. He also emphasized that result-oriented cricket is the future of Test cricket and now drawn games.

“Slow and dead pitch.. above all low intent so far fading out chances of result in this historic Test match. One team has to play very poorly to give a result in this Test match. Result-oriented cricket is the future of Test cricket, not dead-drawn games please," Hafeez tweeted.
