Ashraf praised the players' fighting spirit during the Melbourne Test, boosting their morale
The head of the PCB Management Committee, Zaka Ashraf, held a meeting with the national cricket team on Saturday.
Cheif Executive Officer Salman Naseer was also present during the meeting. Ashraf praised the players' fighting spirit during the Melbourne Test, boosting their morale. He particularly emphasized encouraging the young players.
At this occasion, Team Director Mohammad Hafeez mentioned to Ashraf that to synchronize with difficult conditions, the squad should have been sent to Australia at least three weeks before the first Test. He also suggested that conducting an extended camp would have been appropriate. Hafeez emphasized enhancing the setup of domestic cricket as well.
Captain Shan Masood conveyed to Chairman MC that some players have complained about not receiving compensation for domestic matches. He stressed the need to resolve this issue. Salman Naseer responded by stating that everyone has been paid.
Due to the second Test ending a day earlier, Ashraf couldn't get a chance to witness the match. Now, he will attend the Australian Prime Minister's dinner on Monday.
