A fantastic batting display by Haider Ali helped Overseas Warriors defeat Bagh Stallions by five wickets in the ongoing Kashmir Premier League (KPL) on Tuesday.

Chasing a target of 187, the Warriors reached home with four balls to spare.

Haider was the star of the show as he played a magnificent innings of 91 runs off 57 balls. His partnership with Kamran Ghulam (41* off 17 balls) for the fifth wicket yielded 67 runs in 33 balls, which was instrumental in the team’s victory.

Batting first, Bagh Stallions posted 186/7 in their allotted 20 overs with the help of fifties by captain Shan Masood and middle-order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed.

Masood scored 73 runs off 45 balls to set the platform for a competitive total, while Iftikhar bludgeoned the ball to all parts of the ground during his 28-ball 54.

For the Warriors, Sohail Khan and Abbas Afridi claimed two wickets each while conceding 34 and 44 runs, respectively, in their four overs.

Haider Ali was declared player of the match for his match-winning knock.
