India's vice-captain Hardik Pandya has issued a stern warning to the Pakistan team ahead of their highly anticipated T20 World Cup match on Sunday, June 9, at the Nassau County International Stadium in New York.
India recently won their T20 World Cup opener against Ireland, and Pakistan will play their opener against co-hosts on June 6 in Dallas.
"One goal as a group, we go and kind of hunt. So, if we can do that, I think, you know, it will be one more nice day for us," Pandya said.
The Indian all-rounder emphasized the intense atmosphere surrounding the India-Pakistan clash.
"Before we even play the game, I think in the hotels, we will start feeling the India-Pakistan game vibe. So, yeah, looking forward to it. I hope we, you know, stay disciplined in that game," he said.
Pandya acknowledged the excitement and emotions tied to this historic rivalry.
"India-Pakistan has always been very exciting with a lot of cheer and buzz. And a lot of emotions, a lot of excitement from us. But at the same point in time, that will be ten times X from the fans and all the people who are watching from back home," he concluded.
Both the arch-rivals will face off against each other at the Nassau County International Stadium on 9 June.
