Pakistan right-arm pacer, Haris Rauf, became the joint third-fastest Pakistan pacer to take 50 One Day International (ODI) wickets. His feat came in Pakistan's first Super Four match of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 against Bangladesh on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old dismissed Mohammad Naim in his first over to achieve this record. Rauf has equaled Waqar Younis, who also took 27 innings to claim 50 wickets.

The list is headed by Pakistan's pacers Hassan Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi, who have bagged 50 wickets in 24 and 25 ODI matches, respectively.

Rauf ended up with four wickets, ultimately helping Pakistan bowl out Bangladesh for 193.

Previously, against India in the Group A match of the 2023 Asia Cup, Rauf took three key wickets of Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, and Ishan Kishan, restricting India to 266. However, the match was washed out without any conducive results.
