Haris Rauf, Pakistani fast bowler, opened up after achieving his career-best performance in T20I cricket against New Zealand in Lahore on Friday.
He took four wickets while giving away only 18 runs in 3.3 overs. As a result, Pakistan won the match comfortably by 88 runs.
"It was important to put up this performance because I was playing after a long time for Pakistan," Rauf said after winning the award for Player of the Match. "On this pitch, I tried to bowl stump-to-stump. If you start well, like Shaheen and Zaman gave today, you gain a lot of confidence. Your role gets defined a lot more when you have such a good bowling attack."
"During our batting innings, Babar bhai came to me and said 'I want you to take 4 wickets today'," he added.
